Hey guys,
I heard there are quite a few horsey people on here, so thought I would show off Maguire, my 'share' horse. I look after and ride Mags three days a week. I started with him in May this year. Prior to that he had been retired early, due to having arthritis of the fetlocks. He had been his owners competition horse, and there was no way he was up to that anymore, but she felt he would benefit from light work and attention, as she was pushed for time with Mags and also her new horse Mojo. This was lucky for me, as I get to treat Mags practically like my own (although Diane is still his real Mummy, lol!) Eventually I would like to have my own horse, but just now, the three days a week, plus my weekly riding lesson is enough for me.
So here he is..Mags is an IDxTB, he is 16.2hh and is a very kind, affectionate boy!
Doing what he does best..eating!
"Where's my hay?!!"
Hope you like him!

Thanks Kendal!
He is 12, so should still be in his prime really, were it not for the arthritis. But he has been very sound since I started working with him, and much less stiffness in his back end now. He is getting the weight off too, lol! He needs more muscle! |

I used to own a 16.1hh ID mare called Ava, sold her in February. I used to compete quiet often in X country and X jump. I miss it so much but just didn't have the time for her
Maguire is stunning I need to share a horse to get fit for doing the Jordan trek in April! _________________ Dogs are like Chocolate, you just can't have one! |

Ah, thanks Marcella - you are so right, he is a big boy and can be imposing!
Fiona..didn't realise you were one of the horsey people, we could have had a blether about them on the walk! Ava sounds lovely, you will be a much better rider than me, I rode as a child and only really started back properly at the start of the year! I have lessons up at Tannoch Stables. I am fine out hacking or mooching around on Mags, who is very well schooled and a gent, but once I am on an RS pony that knows all the tricks, everything goes to pot! |

I used to have Ava stabled at Tannoch. I moved her out of there about a year ago. I love riding and especially jumping Palacerigg is amazing for hack's. I miss it but looking forward to getting back in the swing of things. Haven't ridden since March _________________ Dogs are like Chocolate, you just can't have one! |

Lovely!! - what a kind looking face.
My only experience is taking a bag of apples and carrots to the footie to feed the police horses at the old firm games.
Im a wee bit frightened to get too near to the ones in a field - but I think they are gorgeous majestic animals. |
