Hi everyone!
I am Mary, I live in Condorrat with Dan aged 8 and Jack aged 7 who are reasonably well behaved but never boring, Cocker Spaniels. Jack (the Duck Hunter) likes nothing better than swimming in rivers in hot pursuit of wildfowl that cheat and fly away. Jack suffers from dry eye and has been on medication since this was diagnosed before his first birthday. Hopefully Mrs Jackson (their vet) and I have it under control. Danny is just a darling, quite a nervous dog, he loves seeking out rabbits and squirrels to chase. Danny regularly gets bouts of colitis so I have to watch his diet very carefully.
We enrolled at the Club in January this year and thoroughly enjoy our Tuesday nights, meeting both dogs and humans. It would be great to train them together but there would probably be total chaos so separate sessions are best.
I work at a printers in Coatbridge at present organising all types of printed items for customers. I have an escape plan (other than the Lottery) for the spring of 2008 which I will let you know about if it works!!!
The picture of Dan and Jack was taken by Robert McLaughlin along with some others, a present for my recent BIG birthday from my best pal!! Thanks Debbie and John for sorting it out. _________________ No one appreciates the very special genius of your conversation as the dog does - Christopher Morley |

Hi Mary. Welcome to the forum. I've got a cocker spaniel too. He's nearly 10 months old and he has LOTS of energy!! You going to come on the walks on sundays? |

Thanks all for the welcome messages - I can see this becoming addictive!
Isabel - you have years of lovely, lively Cocker Spaniel to go yet, I look forward to meeting you both. I have had Cocker Spaniels for nearly 30 years, they get slightly more sensible at age 7 but don't really slow down until they are 12 - puppies for ever. We are first thing in the morning walkers, usually around the fields in Condorrat for an hour, at weekends we venture further afield but always early morning - this helps keep Danny to the routine he needs. Then out again at 5.30pm! _________________ No one appreciates the very special genius of your conversation as the dog does - Christopher Morley |
