I have been fan of Jan Fennel's method for around 5 years now.

I recommend both her books and her DVD the Dog Listener.

these are not 'dog obedience' manuals.........more about living in harmony with your dog and how to let your dog know you are the pack leader........

Think I'll take a look at both, tonight Dora has been coming through to tell me that Lizzy has stole her chew I followed at first and retrieved it from Lizzy but the second and third times I have left her to yap and sort it out. Does this show that she sees me as boss or is this her trying to train me??????

she is yapping away and putting her head on my feet I think she is after lots of attention tonight, I am ignoring her, she hasn't done this in a while and am wondering if it's connected to her being in season and feeling out of sorts. Need to stay strong and ignore her or I will undo all the good work Very Happy

her hormones are probably all out of sorts, but if you stay calm and ignore her you will find that this will help calm her down, lead by example,

I am also a fan of Jan and really enjoy her books, and her tv show, as John says its all about living in harmony, maybe try it out on hubbie
