Inca has a thing for chewing. Now we have chews, raw hide, pigs ears and even dried tripe (witch stinks but they like it), all over the place but Inca still in joys chewing on any thing. yesterday she chewed through my USB cable for my camera. (not impressed Mad ) we thought that she had gotten out of this faze after her incident with the dummy. but has started agen. Rolling Eyes

any ideas on how to stop this or deter her from it a little. Confused

How old is she?

Dale chewed everything in sight when he was younger. Then I thought he'd stopped but he's decided

to start again. This time its plaster as well as furniture!!! I think think they can have a second chewy

stage around 8 months to a year, so I'm hoping that he'll get over it again. I'm just keeping a close eye

on him and saying NO and offering something he can chew but if you find a better idea please share it. Confused

I personally wouldn't buy any food type chewy toys from pet shops, they are generally made from diseased animals which is why they are so cheap. No one else will buy them so they feed them to the dogs Sad Thats before we get to protein content.

Try going to your local butcher and asking for a marrowbone. Some butchers will charge you a small amount, but some don't. Ash loves these, I need to get a new one tho.
I understand lamb can cause bottom problems so try and avoid them if you can.

hi Kendal

yes, pups do go through a second stage of chewing (just when you thought that part of growing up was over!)

you will need to supply lots of allowable things to chew

shoes are not good Laughing
