Anyone want to adopt Jake for a few days Laughing he is doing my head in!! Laughing

He is like a massive bundle of energy just now and Star isn't helping! He thinks its great, just when I get Jake settled he will get him started again! Evil or Very Mad

It's no fun Mary, he has a sore leg and has now been crated for nearly a week. When we do let him out its a nightmare to control him as he is so hyper!

It is a bit better but the vet said that the tablets he is on can give a false illusion that its getting better. We need to wait until the course of anti inflammintories are finished then see how he is, if its a injury problem the tablets should sort it out but if its a joint problem he will need x ray's.

He has to go back on Friday.

Oh dear. A few days can feel a long time for a hyper puppy. Is he able to stay out and play search games in the house, or learn anything new e.g. roll over, giving right /left paws, covering his eyes????
If he can't run around it might help if he had something new to think about, but I expect you've already thought of that. Confused

Actually Janice I hadn't thought about it, Might speak to you tonight about some ideas. Would have to be something that didn't involve him putting a strain on his leg. Very Happy

I came downstairs one morning to find Star had ripped my hardback copy of the Harry Potter in to a million pieces, I don't think he was a fan!

Fiona

sorry to hear that Jake has to be crated.................not easy for him

I agree with Janice...............it would be a good idea to teach him some gentle tricks to occupy his mind, also you can feed him his dinner in a kong, you can even tie a stuffed kong at the right height within his crate to give him something to do so he has to think and work to empty it.

I have a couple of good playtime books you are welcome to borrow, I can bring them on tuesday

You can offer him toys and chews and rotate these on a daily basis so he doesn't become bored with them

Not easy for him as he doesn't understand why he can't be out and having fun with Star, and as for Star..........you can teach him to read in your spare time Laughing
