2 suggestions came in from the rescue forum
1 Just a thought; Broxburn Dog Training Club do agility and flyball.
Maybe someone there would be interested?
http://www.broxburndogtrainingclub.co.uk/
2 Has his chip been checked to make sure he was that owners dog as apparently a few border collies have went missing. |
Hi Margaret,
Thanks for all your help.
He has been with our vet since he was a pup and she also neutered him last year. So it a definite he's
only had one owner and thats the one who did take care of him.
also...
There is an agility show at Alva next Saturday, I will take a few posters with me. There will be agility handlers from all over there, including broxburn.
thanks again

Carol would it be possible to take him with you and put somthing on him to say he is up for rehoming, I have seen this done many a time at dogs shows with rescue dogs. |

Thats a great idea Margaret, however Officially I can't take him as he is not entered at the show. The Kennel Club rules state that all dogs you bring to the show must be KC registered and entered at the show, either for competition or not for competition. Also don't know if he would be able to deal with
all the hustle and bustle of an indoor agility show, I would think it would be too stressful for him

Just so sad...if you deal with your dog in a confident calm manner you get a confident calm dog...but puppies are all just a bit mad anyway, they just need boundaries and time to learn and mature.
And you have to teach kids to be around dogs not the other way round. |

Ben is a lovely dog. I hope he finds a permanent home soon. It would be his best Christmas ever. |

Yes still got him ..........and Yes he is still looking for a new home.
A few more things about him, he likes chasing the water from the garden hose and also the hoover,
although I have to put him in his crate while hoovering as I can get nothing done. |

The lovely Ben, might just have a caring home to go to.
Kenny's Dad has over the last few months had to have his 2 old dogs PTS. He is coming over to meet Ben in the next few day as he says its too quiet in his house without any dogs and he is missing his walks and trips out with a dog.
He is in his late 70's, so he said if Ben out lives him we will have to take him back, but im sure if decides to take Ben he will keep him young and fit. Kenny's Dad is pretty active for his age.
So fingers crossed!
He lives in Cumbernauld so he might well want to join the club with Ben. |

Well Done Carol, you really are a star - lucky wee dog to have you looking out for him and giving him this window to allow him to be rehomed |
