Yes he's still up with Trisha. At the moment it is the best place for him until we know for sure what's happening. He needs the continuity at present and he knows Trisha and has great fun up there with the other dogs including the two resident dogs.

I'm sorry Gaelle, but I don't agree with you. Cuthbert's place is at home with you, whether Rosie is there or not. He needs routine, love and discipline in his family environment.

I would never be separated from my girls, and if one was away, then the other would need my support even more.

i;m sorry too gaelle but i too agree with enid! cuthbert needs to be at home! the kennels are great but they are shut up for long periods of time in comparison to being in the comfort of his home!

you should really grasp this time where you and cuthbert can play and bond ! when you have animals of any sorts they must take priority!

Enid i agree with you completely.


he will come to no harm at the kennels but he should be at home, whenever i am separated from one of my girls eg Inca going into get spayed, i wanted gypsy around me all the time. and when my mum went on Holiday and the girls went to the kennels as i they would have had to be in there crates longer than they should be as i had to attend college. i pined something rotten for them.

i think as he is so young this time should be used to discipline him especially as he is giving problems, when he comes home he will be more hyper than normal and harder to control.

actually kendal is right ! now that i think about it when we got the girls back from the kennels they had boundless energy and it took ages to get them to their normal selves and they know their routine!

please don't leave him in there any longer he needs his home , comforts and love from his family!

I do hope that you can get Cuthbert back home now Rosie is improving. Puppies need their people so much when they are young, else they can get confused with who is who and what is what - boss, surroundings, habits etc your efforts could take regress if he is away too long. Kennels are safe but there is no substitute for the relatively short time you have the puppy Cuthbert to bond with and build that wonderful dog/dog's person relationship I am sure you want with your adult dog.

When either of my boys or my previous dogs have been ill the other(s) (no matter what age) has never been a problem to the patient - it's as if they know. I look forward to reading about Cuthbert's happy return.
