it's not illegal Tracy. It's just not sold in the UK as it's frowned upon by certain establishments! But not illegal. The Police and the Armed Forces use them to train dogs. |

No, they're not. It's possible you'll see a change in attitude toward them as the Kennel Club are now softening their attitude, they may become more mainstream in the next few years.
They are widely used in Germany and in the USA as they are a kinder option than a choke chain! |

Tikka was struggling with this today! She sometimes however easily stays? Anyhow John was going over parts of this today in class. Couple of points stood out, the lead on floor (if off-lead) giving a cross over threshold! Also keeping on lead or on long line to build up confidence and allowing easy correction. Very good one that i am very guilty off which i never even thought of is NOT to use your dogs name when commanding! Understand reason behind this, learned a good bit today! _________________ Barry, Kylie & Jay with precious Rotti Tikka |

practice. Nothing more than that. Next week when you start classes John can give you a few helpful words of advice when he sees you both.
Just make sure Kai knows you are boss and don't let him away with anything!!!!
Have a read here:
http://www.cumbernaulddogtraining.co.uk/pack-order.html
this information is invaluable, especially when you have a big strong breed. Keep strictly to this and Kai will quickly learn that your word is the law! |

The most adorable to others are often the triers of their owners, Tikka is no different! Lol
There is a thread about fees, paid at start of every month, in advance! _________________ Barry, Kylie & Jay with precious Rotti Tikka |
