Go outdoors were advertising on the tv this morning. I'm such a sad person, I have never ever been camping. Scott keeps trying to get me to go looking at camping equipment at these prices I could be tempted. Laughing Laughing

I saw ones like that, but the gas was so expensive for them! Sad We havent bought a stove yet... im trying to balance out the cost of the stove and the cost of the gas.

My tip on camping - get a man who has done it millions of times and who has all the gear and you just have to turn up.

The only input I had was to ensure I had a self-inflating mat and ear plugs!!

Mind you, he did make me carry my half of the gear for 9 miles, a cunning ploy to ensure I was so tired I would have slept anywhere. And in fact did.

Just seen the leaflet that came through our door, and the stove we bought last week for £30, is now £40!!!! We must have time it right on that one!!!!

Ashley, we didnt have a gas bottle either, I was going to go to the tip and get an empty as they have a place for people who throw them out. But janey's brother had a spare, which he got at his local tip. If you have an empty the gas works out really cheap. But they are obviously more bulky to carry.
