* I use the term loosely...

I was just checking out a website for the 'chillow' (its a pillow that stays cool so you don't need to keep turning it over) and I saw this thing called the 'canine cooler' (cr@ppy name, I know) anyway, thought i'd post a link as it might come in handy for koda and other thick-coated dogs during the warmer weather: http://www.chillow.com/cc.html

Koda should have a coat made from that that he can wear in the summer to keep him cool! Very Happy

Just make sure you don't go overboard with the cooling!

We normally just throw Tess in the burn if she's too warm when we're out. She will find shade in house or garden when we're not out, and she knows where her water bowl is.

Otto never lies in the shade - he will find the hottest bit there is, inside or outside and lie in it. We just have to be careful he's not running about too much and has plenty of water. And check for sunburn, but he keeps his pink bits hidden.

Well he is German - only happy when he's nabbed the best sunbathing spot and has turned a suitable shade of mahogany (well he already is).
