did any one see the episode of its me or the dog with the two Yorkie terriers who had been dog napped. she introduced a thank you command to get the dogs to stop barking, i don't know how effective it is as i have not tried it with my two yet as they are really bad in the car when they see something or some one comes into the car, or the worst is when wanting directions they are a nightmare. will be trying it soon but i need to wait till Innes goes back to nursery or he will just get in the way like he dose with all training. hi Debbie

by the sounds of things something has spooked poor Mishca and her reaction is to bark

all that the rattlers, shakers, water squirters etc do is distract her , 'interupting the behaviour', but what you need to find out is what has caused the change in her behaviour - especially if it's recent

observe what she is doing before she barks and try to work it back if you can

good luck, it may end up to be something silly that's easily fixable

let us know how you get on

Eleanor
