Travis the Guide dog: and Blind Scott Cunningham
I was driving home on Thursday and was listening to Real Radio and this guy Scott Cunningham came on was telling everybody about his next Trek. He is going to do the West Highland Way walking the 98 miles from Fort William down to Glasgow. He was one of the most positive guys I have ever heard and being so positive whilst being blind inspired me so much asking for support, that it was a very easy decision to make so I will be joining him on the West Highland Way walk.
I left a message on his website http://www.legendstrek.co.uk and he phoned me this morning confirming my hotel and bunkhouse bookings with so much energy advising how this has taken off since his phone call and was so appreciative that I will join him.
He advised me that Terry Hurlock the ex Rangers football player is organising it, with Arthur Numan, John Hartson of Celtic will be walking it, Ewan Cameron and Roughie of Real Radio walking bits of it too and 45 Commando being the safety staff and providing transport when ness.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
Can I ask if you are comfortable to please support me and make a small donation that will all go to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association (GDBA).
I apologise for this post being so long but I am so so energised by this event knowing full well that all proceeds will go to a fabulous Dog organisation.
thanks for reading this

Joe thats fantastic, of course you can count on my support and donation. I have wanted to walk the west highland way for a couple of years and am hoping to do it this year. I really admire this guy for doing this walk and being blind. It is a really worthy cause. Dogs not only help the blind but the deaf, epileptics amongst other needy people. _________________ Grace & Dexter |

Hey Joe.
I heard this guy on the Radio on Thursday. What a tonic he was.
I will support you in any way I can.
I am sure I am speaking for Debbie and my two wee ones as well.
Good luck.

Hi Joe
i'm new to the classes and the site but saw your post and thought you might be interested, Scott is a friend of my hubby's and Scott, hubby and a crowd of friends were recently at the launch of "Travis Treck 5" at Tan Hill britain's highest inn. You are so right when you say he is inspirational he has never let his blindness get in the way of anything. Travis also must be one of the fittest guide dogs around! I have personal experience on this subject as my mum is blind and has been since i was a baby ( a very long time ago now!) and has had several guide dogs herself. We as a family still donate to Guide Dogs For The Blind and indeed hubby may very well be walking some of the "Travis Treck". Can i wish you all the best for your walk and we will be contributing to the well deserved fund.

one of the guys in my car club is a final stage trainer of the guide dogs - i suppose its a bit like commissioning engineer - he takes them over that final hurdle and then does the handover with the new owner.
We went camping last year down in dumfries and he brought his current dog with him. Stunning and really smart animals.
Joe, I will support you no problem. _________________ want to see the animals in my life?
