Hey all, Tillys dew claws are getting awful long, she went and got groomed today and I completely forgot to ask them to cut them for me.
Can anyone do it for us on Sunday? I'm too scared _________________

They're a little difficult to get at especially if doggie won't keep still but I have every faith in you Kendal! _________________ Staffies are my life! Visit us at www.staffies.co.uk |

I cut my collies dew claws regularly as collies are bad for getting them caught with running fast and going to ground quick. Buy a good set of clippers and shouldn't have a problem.
Bobby caught his on the first weekend we got him from the dogs trust as they don't clip them. The vet took it off right at the top. I've never heard a dog scream like that before. That's when I decided to do it every 2 weeks.
Clyde had his back dew clews removed completely as they are not needed and were very large.
Once you have done it once it gets easy. Just give them a treat when you do it and it will be a good thing. |

My dogs only have dew claws on their front trotters - I've never noticed a dog with them on their back legs Didn't know there were any
Dew claws aren't really needed anymore so if they're causing problems it's no hardship to the dog to get them removed front or back _________________ Staffies are my life! Visit us at www.staffies.co.uk |
