ok we didnt go on holiday last year as we didnt want to put Leo our rottie in kennells where he would be locked in a cage 23 hours a day, we are dying to go away this yer so decided we would get home boarding or a pet sitter but anyone i have contacted dont do rotties or similar breeds which i find mental and wouldnt trust anyone with this attitude with any breed. anyhows anyone now of rottie friendly home boarding or pet sitters thanx

Have you tried 'Barking Mad'? They advertise on top line of forum. Sad that some discriminate against Rotties... Sad

We've had Otto with Barking Mad twice and he's come back as happy as he left. And we get a report on how he's been - he keeps them busy.

They put the dog with people used to the breed/type of dog. It does add to the cost of the holiday right enough, but it is a home from home.

But then we also kennel him for one or two nights and he is fine there too. He's such a tart, he'll go with anyone.
