Ash has just had his 2nd birthday. He is a purebred working stock short haired border collie black and white.
excellent temperament. Great with kids of all sizes.
I have ruptured my achilles tendon and have no support to look after my two youngest children at the moment. That is even before I contemplate Ash's needs.
Responsibility did go to my eldest after my youngest child was born last October, however that is not working, Ash doesn't respect him.
Ash has NEVER bitten or nipped anyone or anything. He is well socialised with dogs of all breeds and sizes. Has a huge turn of speed on him.
We just cannot give him what he needs just now, so before our circumstances ruin an beautiful collie, we would like to find a loving home for him.
If anyone can help please pm me.
thanks

oh no Casandra, this is a terrible situation, i remember you first getting Wee Ash, and what an adorable puppy he was, and what a hansom boy he has become.
how did you manege to rupture your tendon, i take it this is going to be a semi permanent injury that means you really have no other option for him.
i am so sad to hear about this, and it must be braking your heart having to part with him. i hope he gets a good home soon, and that you are not in to much pain and you recovery is as good as it can be. _________________ microchiping and grooming www.chipnclip.co.uk

am going to be in plaster for another 4 weeks and I can't put any weight on it until the cast is off. I did it....at keep fit. Trying to tone up a bit...I wouldn't have minded but it was during the warm up and it went bang. Had to have surgery to re-attach it too.
Then I have lots of physio. I will be able to walk eventually its just obviously in the meantime I can't supervise the wee ones without help. Can't carry my 6mth old and walk on crutches, so Ash is spending alot or rather...too much time in his den
When I was expecting the wee wee man we were unsure with how we would cope (hadn't planned on having another one so soon) and have put it off for so long now.
Am certainly not happy about the prospect however I have to do what is best for him. He is a loving wee fella. |

Oh Cassandra I really feel for you. I am the very proud owner of a 2yr old border collie called Bubbles. I have recently strained my Achilles tendon and that is sore enough. I was told to get someone else to walk my girl but what can you do.
I am trying to take her on walks on even ground only and instead of walking for a couple of hours I am doing more shorter walks.
I wish I could take Ash for you even as a stop gap but I am just not in a position to help at the moment

Border collie rescue Scotland mat be able to help. Even for just a while. Its run by collie experts. They also have people that foster collies also. I hope that could help. |

that is him away
I understand he is going up to Perth. To a lady who already has a BC bitch. So he will have someone else to play with.
The kids are upset...so am I. But its the best for him.
Leg is doing okay - but OH has just got himself off critical care into a normal ward after they discovered an abcess on his liver. So even more stress for us all. And all the more reason for Ash to go somewhere that suits his needs. |
