Following the sad loss of his 3 year old spaniel to lymphoma recently, a friend of mine is looking at getting a cocker spaniel puppy. He hasn't had much luck so far. Does anyone have any reliable contacts who have / know of a suitable pup in Scotland?

None in Scotland and not the best way to find a breeder, but it might help.

Stuart

just a thought - if anyone is going to the SKC show this weekend they can ask about for a good breeder - or your friend may wish to go for a look

this is how we got introduced to our breeder

see what you think

well done Shirley

I will give my breeder a call, but he'll be at the show this weekend - either judging or stewarding

but if no joy I will all him at the beginning of the week

Your friend (if local) should go to SKC on Sunday, the Gundog group are on then. He could speak to Cocker Spaniel Exhibitors, they might be able to put your friend in touch with a good breeder, some will most probably be breeders aswell. Just a thought.

Interesting development.. my friend has decided to get a Golden Retriever! Hadn't even mentioned about your tip though. It's a small world... I wonder if it could be from the same litter?

Oh, and many thanks to everyone for their suggestions... another good example of how useful this forum is cheers
