Finn is getting "it" done

Well Finn has been booked in for his wee op to sort out "it". Shocked

We have also found a wee lump on him and it is to be removed at the same time on his back leg. Sad

No word on Paddy getting "it" done yet? But as we are now calling him "flash" as off yesterday it could be happening sooner than you think. Mark was taking him to his mum and dad's yesterday. he was in the back of the jeep - Mark went to hook him up - paddy seen the lady who lives in the front streets poodle - jumped over mark's shoulder and decided that he could chase it - caught it - but there was no harm done - as it turns out the wee poodle is fine but Paddy's is in the bad books. Rolling Eyes

Mark may listen to me now!!!

You're doing the right thing imo. I know some disagree with me but I think speying and neutering UNLESS you are breeding responsibly is the right way to go. You cut out all sorts of health risks too by getting it done Wink

He will be fine. As Jack says it is always best to spey or neuter your dogs.

Yes, assuming 'it' is a castration then it's the only responsible thing to do.

There are too many dogs already without loving homes and sadly being euthanised.

Dogs don't miss their conkers anyway.

Our big boy is done and it did him no harm. The baby will be done in due course too.

I was watching its me or the dog this week and in 2 episodes there was a male dog that was really acting up, pumping women all the time. The male owners didn't want them castrated - "I wouldn't want it done to me"....her response, well no, but you at least get to act on your impulses, he doesn't. Laughing

Yeah - all that macho bullcrap REALLY annoys me too. It's all about what is best for the dog surely and denying them their right and instinct to have sex is cruel imho.

I am a convert to spey and neuter because of all the unwanted dogs in shelters, all those being abused, all those with behavioural issues BECAUSE they are entire (not ALL bad behaviour is down to that but a very substantial percentage is), all the health issues such as cancer and diabetes, pyometra etc. To me it's a no brainer. I know not everyone agrees with me and one woman I know has just allowed her dog to have a litter because she was told it was best for her dogs mental health!!! Needless to say I said my piece on that too! Rolling Eyes
