My boy Jazz is going to start his lessons soon, he is getting to an age where he can start to carry a rider for a short time.

I just bough a new (well old but new lol ) saddle of Ebay so once it arrives we will be starting to do some work.

I was going to do a wee diary of our progress and if anyone is interested in seeing how a pony learns to be a riding pony they can follow how we do it

Hi Shirley, Thats great Jaz is ready to start his riding lessons soon. I will look forward to reading your diary and how he gets on. (I only weigh 7 1/2 stones if you need any volunteers to sit on him while hes learning Rolling Eyes )

Have been busy with 2 other ponies just now so will get bac to Jazz over the winter, tho he did have me leaning over his back a few weeks while being led around so wont be too much problem when I start to do it full time

Shirley, I hope you have a good hard hat and a cushioned bottom!!!! I remember when I broke TJ I saw a lot of the ground!!!

Joking aside, it didn't really take that long coz all the ground work was done.

Good luck, I look forward to reading about your progress.

Alison
