Poor Alfie gettin an early birthday present of going in for xrays today!!! On Friday 13th as well!!! Just as well I'm not superstitious in the slightest!

He's ok but plan was to not see the specialist for another 4 weeks as he was away. But he hasn't been using the leg that great the last couple days. Think prob just cos I've been on holiday and mum and dad have had to crate him a lot with hospital visits. But squeezing him in today for c/o just to be on safe side!!

not great news!! alfie also has bowing of his tibia, which was noticed at the start but is causing him more problems than he thought it would. also think he has a partial cruciate rupture.

he has to have 4 weeks of light exercise and hydrotherapy but if no better by then will need a second op to basically break and move his tibia this time!!! on his xrays his femur looks great compared to how it was before, nice and straight but looks like hes not out the woods yet. would mean another 3months at least before decent exercise!!! and before he can come to classes as normal but at least theres still a chance we can help his leg!!

Don't know what caused it. Maybe just because of his conformation of that leg. It's not fully gone he doesn't think but def causing some probs. We haven't started hydro yet. I'll wait and c how it goes cos Alfie detests water!!!
Where they cut his bone in last op has healed well tho. So for now he's allowed to sleep in his bed in kitchen again rather than his crate which is good cos he doesn't really like his crate much.

Got the feeling tho that a second op is very likely. Just as well insurance is covering Razz
