Have been following this story for a while now and The Wright Stuff featured it.... Lennox is a mixed breed dog in Ireland who has no banned breeds in his make up however looks a certain way. He was seized by the authorities who deemed him dangerous even though he has never bitten anyone and is a family pet... insured vaccinated and seen by local vet. He has been on death row in Ireland for I think 2 years in which time the family including a small child who he is her pet, have not been able to visit and his date for euthanasia has been set for a months time.

Many feel that the authorities have made a boo boo and don't want to be seen as in the wrong and cannot back down.... regardless I feel it's back to the look of a breed and society are groomed to thik dogs that are cute fluffy and cuddly are safer and non threatening. Do a bit more reading from the link below and decide yourself but I would appreciate if you would sign to try and save Lennox.

Regardless to what Lennox has or hasn't done it's back to the old ways of how the media portrays certain breeds... it's not the breed it's the owners of breeds that need to be taken in hand and educated!

Signed petition - can't believe officials can get away with this kind of action. Hope they see sense and admit their terrible mistake.

I signed the petition on Friday. Don't know if you heard but Cesar Milan has offered to take Lennox, rehab and rehome him outside the UK away from the predjuces against him. I really feel for Lennox and his family but I don't think the authorities are going to see sense unfortunately. What good will it do anyone to kill the dog. Hopefully Lennox will be allowed to live as is his God given right!

We've followed it from the beginning too. I think it's just awful. There's an official page on facebook too that gives immediate updates if anything changes.

So angry at what can only be described as the murder of Lennox. BSL is just ridiculous. Lennox deserved better. All dogs deserve better.

I see on facebook a new page "Save Duke". It's a similar story to Lennox and seems history is set to repeat.

Dexter has been bitten by 3 dogs - a collie, a GSD and a sausage dog! The breed makes no difference in our experience. It's all temperament!

Oh! Makes me furious!!!!

It's awful isn't it. The law should be changes to focus on individual dogs not breeds. There are 3 other banned breeds but for pit bulls it is just pitbull type dogs so all they have to do is resemble a pitbull and fall within certain measurements. I don't think it's fair in the slightest but it also makes for so much prejudice. I see lots of dogs in work for aggression/biting, and it's not usually the Staffies or bull breeds that r the worst for it but I still see people cross the street occasionally to avoid Alfie who lets face it, isn't exactly the most threatening looking dog in the world given he spends 90% of his life on his back!! Ha ha

One question!
What does a murderer look like?
Sorry, one question isn't enough!
Would the powers that be agree that we should convict people of murder, serious assault etc because of the way they look irrespective of the fact that they had never committed a crime?......or would they think that would be completely ludicrous and undoubtedly unfair? And would they then decide to execute that person by lethal injection?

No?

Have they not just done that very thing to poor Lennox?

Oh what brave people they are who can do that to an innocent defenceless dog!

I hope they have the chance in life to be treated in this very way. After all, they can't object when they themselves have set the precidence!
