Quick update, Bear couldn't get anesthetic for x-ray as he was too ill. They took a partial one without anesthetic but need more pics so have get him in again. He's had leg shaved & this revealed a huge abscess high in his shoulder so he is on mega anti-biotic and has a drain in too clear pus. He is apparently a wee bit chirpier this afternoon but cause of abscess is unknown, vet asked about fight but as he hasn't been in one they are looking along foreign body or it could be something else again. He has slight temp but white blood count is normal which if he has infection is strange.
Will let you know more as we find out more, again thank you all for your kind messages they are a great comfort to read when in situations like this!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Kendal he's still in vets as he's still on drip & catheter. Also if he is fit enough in the morning he will get knocked out for full x-rays. If all goes well he can come home tomorrow unless he needs an op. Yes we do all miss him, Tala more than Aimee she doesn't seem that fussed whilst Tala is looking for him it's weird not having him here. |

Hopefully Bear will be fine once the anti-biotics help deal with the abcess. Tomorrow should bring better news again. Take care. Hugs to Bear. _________________ Regards,

Bear came home last night with a gaping hole in his shoulder to allow gunk to drain. This is reason for delay as the slightest movement causes river of disgusting stuff to come out of the hole No vet for me to talk to just a great vet nurse so not any further forward with diagnosis etc. He has 2 lots of anti-biotic to take & painkillers. He has to go back to vets on Monday so hopefully will know more then. Poor big gut still is very sick but hoping as gunk comes out he'll feel better & be more mobile as swelling goes down.
