He did get life though....the point is that he has 3 months left which will be spent mostly unconscious. It's not like he'll be drinking cocktails with Gaddafi. If they're not on death's door, they should be kept in.
Now he could have gone to his wife's home in newton mearns and not back to Libya, which makes me think it was part of a bigger political thing, which also meant that his appeal conveniently goes away. |

He could never have moved to The Mearns because of the security costs and implications. The same was said regarding the option to move him to a 'safe house' somewhere in Scotland. It would cost too much.
