There are two regulars round our morning walk who give our dog fat boy biscuits - we have planned it to perfection to avoid them because they are also dog know it alls who berate us for not letting him run free.

Eh, it's dark, he's brown, your dogs distract him from his recall which all equals late for work!

Plus he's only 7 months, and running free all the time on walks won't do his growth any good either, as he's a big dog, as you are probably well aware! Smile

Well, we try not to let him do too much but it is difficult to gauge.

He does a 20 minute loop twice a day, one on lead and once off unless it's too dark then it's a street walk. Plus a play in the garden.

2 or 3 times a week, he gets a longer off lead run somewhere else, say 40 mins but he doesn't tend to run flat out for long, too busy sniffing.

We have probably over-exercised him at times, but if he's had a longer one, he only gets one. Seems about the right level for now, but we know when he's big, he'll need more.
