It's a horrible feeling when you leave them and very weird back at the house - the others will wonder where he is. I'll be thinking of you and Jake with my fingers crossed until you post news of the results. _________________ No one appreciates the very special genius of your conversation as the dog does - Christopher Morley |

it does Fiona I know what you mean. When any of ours have been in I usually watch the clock and the time just drags in!
Let us know after 1pm anyway. |

Fiona,
Hope Jake is on the mend and is home with you soon.
I have a friend whose dog was in the Glasgow vet school for over a week. Thankfully, she didn't need an operation, but she may well have done. She was a fit and healthy dog and collapsed suddenly with no warning, she has a damaged disc in her neck. She had an MRI scan and several other tests and the end cost for all this was almost £2k - she had to pay for this the day she took the dog home, before it was claimed on the insurance. Luckily PetPlan are very quick at paying up and she received a cheque from them in no time at all.
A few weeks after leaving the vet school, she received hydrotherapy and physiotherapy for over 6 weeks at the Kinning Park Pet Centre, which is also an emergency out of hours vets. PetPlan also paid out for this under Complimentary Treatment. Cheques were received regularly to pay for this aswell.
Good luck with Jake. Hopefully he won't need any of this treatment. |

Well Vet is just off the phone. The x ray does show something but she is unsure if it is the OCD. He is being refereed to a specialist for further checks. _________________ Dogs are like Chocolate, you just can't have one! |

Fiona, I'm sorry to hear it's going to need further treatment. But keep positive, we thought Diesel was never going to be able to move again and look at him now. He may not be agile or graceful I know he can be a bit wobbly, but hey enjoys his walks now and without any pain.
Is it the specialist in Fife you are being referred to? |

Stirling Marcella. I have ordered Jake his collar and I am going to order a magnetic pad for him to lie on. She say walking on the lead is ok but keep them short and no rough play with Star! _________________ Dogs are like Chocolate, you just can't have one! |

Oh that's such a pity, was hoping it could be easier sorted. As Marcella wisely says - stay positive and we'll all keep sending out those positive vibes as well. Respect to Jake for being such a brave boy. _________________ No one appreciates the very special genius of your conversation as the dog does - Christopher Morley |

He has to go as soon as. If we can't get a appointment for a few weeks she will send the x ray's to them before hand to get there opinion. _________________ Dogs are like Chocolate, you just can't have one! |
