PostPosted: Sun Jan 13, 2008 5:22 pm    Post subject: Sunday Roast Anyone? Reply with quote

Following on from a conversation I had with Kendal on our way home from the walk Very Happy I had mentioned that my dinner was in the oven. She asked what I was cooking and for a change I'm having a 'sunday roast'. Roast chicken, chipolatas, stuffing, broccoli, sweetcorn (the only veg Em eats Confused) and the main ingredient ............ home made roast potatoes roasted in goose fat!!!!! Oh and gravy of course .............
We were salivating at the thought of the roast potatoes (Janis I really hope you're not making her fish fingers tonight now Wink).
Do you all have a traditional roast dinner on a sunday?
I rarely do, I just cook whatever we feel like. Whether it is a roast, pasta, curry or soup and a sandwich!!!!!!

Anyway ............. I'm starving now, my walk has given me an appetite!!!! Very Happy

Yep, we have a roast every Sunday, always have and probably always will, either salmon cut roast beef, roast chicken or my favourite smoked pork loin joint. Always have with either cabbage, turnip, sprouts when in season, cauliflower or mushrooms fried in butter. And yes roast potatoes in Goose fat nothing beats that.
