I came in from work today, my sister was already in and had taken Millie out. There was what I though was newspaper ripped up in her bed but as I got closer I realised it was a pack of 5 new razor blades! She had chewed through the plastic case and chewed all the razor heads! I checked all her mouth and throat not a mark on her but 5 missing blades!! Shocked I phoned the vet and they told me to check her gums to see if when you press them they go back to pink straight away which they do, they told me there was nothing they can do tonight but to feed her a big bowl of pasta to bulk out her stomach and to take her in first thing tomorrow and they will sedate her and do xrays and operate if necessary, if anything changes through the night I have to take her to the emergency vet!! I'm so worried I have no idea how she got them or how long she had them for!!!

I'm dreading tomorrow I feel like a nervous wreck can't stop watching her she isn't allowed out in case she jiggles them around but she isn't even bothered she is lying on a heap on my bed!! Embarassed Normally she would be climbing the walls!! Sorry so long!!

Oh Nikki, my thoughts are with you - you must be frantic. hope it all goes ok tomorrow.

I had a 10 month old GSD pup who ate the glass shield of an oil type lamp candle holder and she was neither up nor down - i was sure she was going to pass away - but it must have just run right through her will her suffering no ill effects. maybe like my situation, things will be ok.

I hope so.

Hi!

Just taken Millie to the vets they have done blood tests and are going to do an x-ray her gums have gone quite white which is worrying they said there is a good chance the will have to operate! Crying or Very sad But will know more once the xrays come back!! When they were feeling part of her stomach she took a snap at them which makes them think there is something there because everywere else she was fine!!

I felt awful leaving her she was whining and yelping like mad!! Confused
