I have just removed a tick from Kaiser, A small one about 3mm, I was about to crush it with the back of a spoon but had to wait until Brenda found her specs so she could go "ARRRRRRRGH get it out of the house, I'm no up fot that". I will now have to go over Kaiser with a fine tooth comb literally to see if there are any more. Oh what fun Laughing

If you live in a really bad tick area, the best bet is often to give your dogs a quick brush-down when they get home from walks. Ticks don't attach themselves immediately, so there is a fair chance that you will be able to catch most of them before they latch on. Just make sure that you don't do this in your own garden, though, since you really don't want to cause a tick infestation there! My record to date is brushing about 20 ticks off each dog after each walk when we stayed overnight in Pitlochry one summer

this was on another forum.

I don,t know if this happened down the glen or not Lorna, we had been over to Croy Hill a couple of times this week, so could have got it there.

I think there has been mention of this before apparently there are risks involved as does everything these days, in using garlic.
