I'm still trying to find any kind of food I can use as a treat for Cuthbert as it seems anything I try upsets him. So far the only food/treats I can give him is Chappie Original and even then if he gets any more than his daily "allowance" eg some stuffed in a Kong he has an upset stomach for days. I was thinking how about some chicken? Is that quite bland and easy on the stomach? He does respond quite well to Chappie but it would be nice if there was a bit of variety as rewards for training. _________________ Happiness is watching my dog chase leaves dancing in the breeze.
how about carrots? lots of dogs love them and they are a great low fat/calorie treat, I know my two just love getting the end of the carrot when I'm making soup etc

See also my post on your threat about Cuthbert going to the vets.
We use his kibble or cheese - or a toy. Frozen or raw carrots are also good.
I have IBS linked to food intolerances and it took a while to work out what not to eat (prawns, chilli, rocket and spinach - which are believe it or not in a LOT of things) so I used the same process on Otto.
We gave him nothing but JWB chicken but he still had very soft poo, but I read that a lot of dogs are intolerant to chicken, so tried him on the lamb one and he was fine. Then just gradually tested treats and watched what happened.
