I would love to have a dog that was good around horses, Pixel is scared of them but she will hang about the yard with me as long as they are in their stable.

No I dont need a husky Rolling Eyes and I know I wouldnt have the energy for one either Very Happy

Anyway I was a bit offended about the person stating she rehomed it from a council house....like what difference does that make, are we bad to our dogs or something Rolling Eyes

Agree with you on that one Shirley, that wasn't a nice thing to say Council House. Confused

Try the SSHC or Mick at SHWA I am sure they will be able to advise her..

Nice of her to take her away from such a terrible thing as a council house Rolling Eyes (don't tell my 2 Malamutes they might be pleading next!!)

OH and if she knew anything about husky's she would KNOW they have a high prey drive and she would manage the situation.. Also seems a bit selfish of her to take on a dog like this and then rehome it as they are moving....I am sure its not been a sudden thing and they would have known in advance that was going to happen..

Or maybe they are moving to a council house.. and god forbid it should have to live in one of them Rolling Eyes

maybe thats what it is louise Rolling Eyes

Smile

If it was me, i would probably find some way to manage the situation, but who knows what else she has going on in her life that she feels she cant cope Rolling Eyes

Thanks for trying to help this dog anyway Kerry, I know the message its self was nothing to do with your wording Smile

I do wish I could help this dog but a husky would never be a good idea for someone with my condition (MS) as I have ups and downs and the lazy lurchers can cope without a walk on some days.

i emailed her asking if she has tried any of the rescue sites and if not to try them out.

I thought it was strange to make a comment about a council house, but there may be more to it so who knows Smile or just a silly comment made without thinking how it sounded, thats the problem with emails, no emotion attached to it so it can be taken the wrong way Smile

It is a shame as i feel there might have been ways round it but then again there might be more to it, but i thought i would put it up as she was fairly local. If i hear anymore i will let you know.

I would certainly like to see if I could help in anyway, We are looking to rehome a husky but would like it to be through the shwa, but I am sure if we went down this route we would get plenty of backup from them, I hope that whatever the outcome for this dog, that is goes to a good knowledgeable home with plenty of knowledge or back up though,

Just to let you know, i think Kasey will be going into one of the rescue groups, The owner contacted them today as i think she needs to find a new home quite soon , it was hard to say no as i would have loved to have helped Sad just wrong timing Rolling Eyes

oh and council house, got the full story and it wasnt what it sounded like, she was meaning a house in town, anyway an older couple had her and only took her out a 5 - 10 min walk every other day and fed her human food, so not a cruelty case(depends on what way you look at it Sad ) just lack of knowledge of the breed. Anyway hope she finally gets a good home.
