I know its time to say goodbye especially the last few days.
I feel Misty is struggling now and the last few days I have noticed more and more, things just arent right.
Today while out, she had to actually sit down to go to the toilet...actually sit as her legs wouldnt hold her. She also stands by her bed till she nearly falls, cause she cant get down properly or back up again. What is so difficult is, she is still coming for cuddles and still wants that wee bit of carry on with her toy, albeit laying down now.
But I swore I wouldnt wait till she was that bad we were carrying her in and out to the garden and that time is near

oh Shirley,

I'm sorry to hear this... we had to make this decision with our Golden Retriever Benji - it just got to the point that his back legs were collapsing and he could barley walk or go for the toilet and he had to sleep downstairs as he couldn't climb then and was too big to carry, and he would cry all night Sad

It was a hard decision to make for my parents at the time, esp since he seemed "ok" apart from that, as much as an old dog can be.

I felt awful saying goodbye, but I know that is was the right thing to do, and I know that you will make the right decision when you feel it is right.

Just because it is the right thing to do won't make it easy Shirl, but we will all be here for you and thinking of you.

Oh Shirley Crying or Very sad

Dogs are so privileged to have someone who loves them take this decision when the time is right.

How we would love to have someone do this for us - think of it that way.

love and hugs xxxxxx

Thats the worst, that I know she is ok in her mind and she wants to run around and play, but her body just wont let her.

ah Shirley... I know Sad

the poor old critter. You can only do what is best for her. But just take a while to think it over and be clear in your own mind.

So sorry to hear about Misty, Shirley.
Its one of the hardest things I think we have to do, but you alone will know when the right time is, and DO NOT feel guilty, you will be giving her well-deserved dignity.
Thinking about you...

There's nothing I can say that's going to make your decision any easier except that you will know when that time comes that there is absolutely nothing else you can do to help help her and heartbreaking as it is you will have no doubt. I'm awfully sorry and I know just how much it hurts. Good luck and take care.

Love
