oh i think i saw your boy on sunday and he is impressive!!!!!
what is a cockapoo?...........a crossbreed between a cocker spaniel and a poodle! new to this country but have been going in the us for over 40 years and have been registered as a breed with the american kennel club!
i have two , one black ,inca and the other blonde, gypsy though i have to add she is a mucky pup and loves to get dirty so isn't blonde for long!
the advantage of this crossbreed is they don't cast and they cancel out a lot but not all of the individual problems each breed can inherit!
needless to say i love them dearly and have had both breeds separately!
as for a good vet i am not sure but shirley c on this forum has a good vet in airdrie and if it is the same guy i have known think he is good with large breeds! _________________ Cockapoo's...a little of this, a little of that..........

The vets I use are Acres in Airdrie but im not sure what one you use, I have never had a problem with them but we have lurchers, tho they know all about the problems with greyhounds with anesthesia and flea collars and such so I feel comfortable with either of the girls there or the older woman.
where do you use?
Welcome by the way, seen your dog on Sunday, me and my hubby, Allan have Pixel the black lurcher and he also brings my mums rhodesian ridgeback, tho we are soon to get our own ridgeback soon _________________ lurchers Pixel and Zev and whippet, Fen

hiya,
i seen your ridgeback thy are lovely dogs, i use acres vets but due to a few disagreements and them not having alot of knowledge of the breed i have, im not going back,
im not saying they are bad o that but just dont make me feel happy with there advice and things they have said, like they told me feeding the raw diet want good and that any dog food is good and a few other things that i really wasnt happy with.
my puppies are my life and i just want the best for them.
im one of they embarasing dog mummies.. |

We are with Lawries in Cumbernauld. There are some excellent vets in there ( and some dodgy ones!!! i.e. Mrs Lawrie, she's scared of big dogs! ) But there are certainly some good guys there. |

Although I doubt she was scared of Holly, I found she was just not really interested in listening to what myself or Ashley were saying but the other Vets there more than make up for it |

JayDee and I always ask for Graham Leathers now as he is just superb... all family animals go to him now. He is with the Lawrie Practice mentioned above. _________________ Ashley with Holly & Murphy.
I hope to one day be as great as my dog thinks I am right now!! |

Yes I'm with the rest of the crowd in that we are with Lawrie's for our Clumber Spaniel and there are several good vets there, and I agree with their comments. If you live in Airdrie then Lawrie's might be too far for you to come, but I do hope you are successful in your search. Oh course you want the best for your puppies, we all do and aren't embarrassed to admit it. Good luck!
PS Graham Leathers has always been my vet of choice too! _________________ Happiness is watching my dog chase leaves dancing in the breeze. |
