wow that's scary.
well done Marsiella that must have been hard trying to keep two GSD's pined down, and near impossible when they are scared, in pain and desperate to get away from each other.
i don't think my mum had any bother with her two, but i don't think they played that much, not the way our two do.
we get lots of dogs at the kennels with check chains. but i think it's more convenience than for correction.
at the kennels we use the loop rope leads (don't know if that is there proper name) this is just because it is quick and easy as it works with aggressive dogs, timid dogs and hyper jumpy dogs, or even if we have dog's who like to try and escape you can hold the lead in front when you walk in so is the do make a dash they end up putting the lead on them self. we use Thea's leads more when putting the dogs in the run as it quicker, but with walking we try to use the lead that came with the dog.
i have only seen one dog so far that has come in with a prong collar but i never used it as i didn't feel competent to use it, but from what i remember the dog was no bother on the lead. _________________ microchiping and grooming www.chipnclip.co.uk

It was terrifying Kendal. Jasper who had managed to get his paw caught in the other choker was wriggling like mad to get his paw free,he was scared, but every time he did that it tightened around Rosco's neck and he was choking. I managed to lie on top of both of them and tried to talk calmly to keep them still. The 20 minutes it took for John to get back seemed like a lifetime. The sweat was pouring off me!
Since then as John said, choke chains were binned........ too scary for me. |

John, I am trying to 'skim' through zillions of posts because I have a massive backload due to MY INTERNET CONNECTION DROPPING ALL THE TIME AAAAARRRGH
Ah, that's better. Anyway, going back to your original question I think anyone would have to question a 'bought' qualification. The companies are out to make money so I don't see their failure rate being too high. Do you? |
