Went to bed Sat night and we were woken at 05.00 Sun with Bear SCREAMING the house down. Eventually calmed him down enough to work out he wouldn't put weight on front right leg. After much struggling and wailing (he has a thing about his feet) found a small nick on his pad so thought this was cause & he was being male melodramatic Crying or Very sad
Treated the cut and thought he'd be ok, took him out with us supporting him with 2 leads like a sling. By lunchtime on Sunday he was getting worse so called vet who came out to house and he thought that it was more muscular at his knee & elbow as if he has fallen/tripped & wrenched it so gave him painkilling & anti inflammatory jags. Left some more painkillers for us. Told vet he hadn't been to the loo since early morning as he couldn't/wouldn't go out front door (we have 2 steps) & Bear will not go in the garden vet said if he was bursting enough he'd use garden.
By Monday morning despite having 26 hours of access to garden he still hadn't been to loo despite eating & drinking as normal so called vets again. Whilst waiting for call back he decided to go out the front so with us carrying him in a sling and him hobbling made it to the grass at front of house and he did humongous pee. Told vet this when they called back & was told that was good but if no improvement by Wed then we would need to get him in for X-Rays to eliminate more serious issues.
He has only made it out three times on Monday, and twice today for a pee but no poo yet. Not sure how good this is and keep thinking he's going to explode if he holds it in much longer but he can't make it to bits where he normally poos.
Also how am I supposed to get him to vets for an X-ray even if I can get him in car how do I get him out at vets? Think I'm going to call them back out as he isn't ant better today than he was yesterday & Sunday rather than wait till tomorrow only thing stopping me is transporting & hurting him even more.
Will Let you know how he does or what it is when I know Crying or Very sad

Think using sheet sling we could get him in but as we have jeep type car it's the getting him out that I think will be tricky bit and when he screams & stuff it breaks your heart so much so am reluctant to try as it will hurt him. Not seen a pram or doggy bag big enough for my boy defo a gap in the market here Shocked Wish I hadn't sold horsebox now, maybe build him a stretcher or try an ambulance, sorry getting silly with stress Embarassed

Don't worry too much about him not pooing. dodge was hurt a few months ago, never found out what was wrong with him but he would not get into the car and would'nt poo so suspected it was a pulled muscle. He didn't poo for 5 days. I was frantic.....but he was ok

hope the big guy gets better soon
