He's had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics they gave him yesterday (which incidentally he has had before and they gave him the runs... Shocked ..on his file that they do not agree with him) so his foot that had the drip in and both his eyes have swollen up. When I picked him up yesterday I pointed this out to them when they tried to send me away with them and they gave me other ones.

The diarrheoa is not just so bad...not skooshing anyway (sorry) and he seems able to control it a bit better, no accidents in the house anyway, so far.
He's eating chicken and rice (just giving him small meals every 2-3 hrs to try to build his strength up and drinking a bit (not as much as I like though)
He's lost loads of weight (at least 10 Ibs, you'd be shocked if you saw him, and he is very weak but he wagged his tail when I came in and has started to groom himself a little bit...

Where there is a will there is a way...back to vet tomorrow afternoon

sorry to hear about the big man!

The weight will come back on quickly enough - it's just really noticable on lean dogs.

Hek bit brighter today. Diarrhoea seems to be drying up a bit and he was eating and drinking a bit better. Thankfully the swelling on his eyes and foot has gone down too.
Ian took bloods again this afternoon and his white cell count has increased very slightly indicating that whatever is going on is still going on, so on antibiotics for another 5 days and back to Vet on Tues. No classes for us for a couple of weeks then! (AGAIN Rolling Eyes )

He had a lunge at another dog in waiting room, so not THAT bad I suppose Embarassed

Otto had colitis as a puppy and had constant runs for about a fortnight, but the drugs worked in the end and although he was SO skinny, he soon recovered and back on his normal diet. it is worrying tho.

We had to hose the grass to get rid of the poo as couldn't pick it up.
