Glad to know it's not just ME that has physically flung myself over my dogs - last time was a Druridge Bay on a beautiful day out when some numpty with a HUGE aggressive Black Lab and Springer Spaniel had them walking - sorry I mean bowling all over COMPLETELY out of control and terrorising all on the beach - apart from me and hubs - our little monsters had been swimming with me so were without their collars so I couldn't grab them they were sopping wet and all slippy and sandy so flinging myself on them and pinning them down was all that I could do - to THEM I made it a game, kept myself nice and calm and crooned in their ears - to the nasty horrible natured Lab trying to get at them I bared my teeth and told it, in not very polite words to go forth and mutliply - it's idiot of an owner got the message too but I wouldn't recommend to anyone else doing that - baring your teeth at an aggressive dog in pure attack mode is soooooo NOT a good idea - thankfully it worked and IT was way more terrified of me that I was of it - PHEW!  
Had my girls been leashed the owner wouldn't have got off anywhere near so lightly as a furious look and a snarl. - Told you I was Staffie through and through didn't I?

Mine was FULL teeth baring - not the brightest idea I've ever had but it was like a primal moment it just FELT right and was all I could think of at the time as it didn't let on to mine what was going on above them - I know - I'm sooo lucky it worked
As for the Crocodile hunter thing - I DO hope you had your hat on - the images I have now conjured!!!!!
