Oh Vikki,
I am so so sorry to hear that you have lost Sunny... I met him at class he was such a lovely dog.
You will miss him so much, even though you had him for only a short time ... he will stay in your heart..
You must take comfort that his last few weeks with you were warm secure and i am sure he felt very much loved.......

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. It's actually a relief in a strange way to know there was actually something wrong with him, rather than that he was refusing food because he missed his owner, or because he'd been moved so many times etc. I only wish we'd known a bit sooner how sick he was. I'm just glad I went home when I did (I should have been at work) and was able to take him to the vet when he got so bad. It all kind of happened in a rush once his body started to give out.

On a more odd note.. a friends GSD was put to sleep yesterday around the same time.. his name was Sunny too.. Crying or Very sad
