My lot run onto their beds and lie there shaking if I lose my rage and shout - it doesn't have to be at them just the very fact I am shouting terrifies them  
Like you Suzanne, my lot don't really "do" calm very well but part of what I just adore about this breed is their sheer exhuberance and joy of life - I NEVER want them to lose that. |
Totally agree with you - our boy's love of life really gives me a lift. It's hard to be downhearted when he's about. The breed description was spot on - they never grow up, don't do aloof and need to be in the heart of the family.
Only time he is low key is when he's knackered. |

Even after the cruddiest of days Suzanne I can come home and be greeted by 3 hyper pooches their whole bodies wagging they are so happy to see me and there really is no other smile quite as big and obvious as a Staffie one is there? I just LOVE that!!!
Otto sounds so like them in many ways - he obviously lifts you just as much as mine do me! God I'd hate life without dogs
