Well the puppy wants to bond with Otto - tried to suckle from him today haha. They didn't lie together long - the puppy climbs into Otto's bed and he gets up in and goes and lies somewhere else. should I remove the puppy? Don't want to put Otto's nose out of joint.

Otto is playing with him, but the puppy wants everything Otto has - chew, bed, toy......I've been trying to distract Rudi so he leaves him alone and focuses on me.

I think they're getting on fine. Otto seems more relaxed with him in the garden than in the house. But he's not been aggressive - a couple of rumbles when he's been pinching his bed. It's like his Mini Me.

AWWWWW!!! he is absolutely beautiful! He and Otto look great together, so glad Otto is being good with him. With the bed thing, I think they'll sort it between themselves, if Otto REALLY didnt want to move he would not give way to the puppy. We went through that with Ollie and Hektor, you do feel sorry a bit for the older dog but if he is being tolerant thats great.

oh, just puts you in the mood for a wee wuppy!

He is very tolerant of him....after a few days of "Who invited him...and when's he leaving" he's a bit more "Ok, looks like he's here for a while, he could be fun!"

Otto is getting a bit more confident with him, and is getting a bit rough, just trying to put him in his place...we only step in if he's getting too hyper. He's still very young himself.

We've already sussed that if you want anything done ie feeding, peeing, sleeping - keep them apart.

I always found it difficult to do any training with Hektor when Ollie was about. I'd be trying to get Hek to recall and 'finish' and Ollie would be right in there showing me he still knew what to do!
So we had to separate them when doing any training work, then immediately felt guilty when you would see Ollie's face peering through the window wanting to be included Sad

He's about the same size as a jack russell - I don't know how people cope with wee dogs....I'm petrified I stand on him.

We have some tough stuff going on at the moment and him and Otto's antics are cheering us up no end. You can't not laugh at a wee puppy with huge paws and lugs tanking towards you.

And he has a tail that he's always waggin....that's going to be at coffee table height!!! Otto had his docked - least we'll be able to spot the culprit when they're the same size!

They are a tonic! Hektor got me through a tough time too. When things are going pear shaped and you need cheering up you can always count on your dog, especially a puppy, to make things a bit better. I suppose thats one of the reasons we have them. Hope things improve for you Suzanne, cant wait to see Rudi
