Hi

I am planning to do a charity event in April next year for The British Horse Society. I will complete a 5 day trek across the Wadi Rum in Jordan on horse back. I need to raise £2,500 of sponsorship money before the end of January Shocked.

I would be most grateful if you can please dig deep and sponsor me online.

I have a just giving web page which you can donate via credit and debit cards http://www.justgiving.com/fionaaitken Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The British Horse Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks

Race nights are an amazing way to raise money, the team done one for going to Morocco, and got over £1,000 (We had raffles and drinks etc. that night too) but it is well worth doing!

And we saw a load of the teachers drunk....which was a laugh on the following Monday...
"Sir..............can you even remember the race night? You fell at the end and Miss Kelly fell on top of you!"

Laughing

You could have an auction night were the men/women are acutioned off for the night, with a dance, you could have a raffell and get some donations for prizes and what about trying to get some of the Cumbernauld Businesses to donate to you or the dance. Make it a theme like balck and white and everyone would have to dress up and charge for tickets say £5 per person or whatever it costs to hire a hall (which will be cheap as they will be happy to get the custom for the booze) a buffett and the band. It sounds like a lot to pay out for but if you thought about it you could tie it in with Christmas and if everyone was up for it it could be the clubs xmas night out and I'm sure between all of us we culd get plenty of tickets sold.

What about an adopt a dog for the day down at the Gen for all those peole who want a dog but can't have one for what ever reason, we could all go and let people walk our dogs(with us obviuosly) we could invite the Dogs trust and any other rescues orgtanisation we know to be there, maybe a dog portrate person, a bouncy castle for the kids????

Ok that me for now but if I think of any more I let you know, oh and I will helpo you get organised if you need my help.

Lindy
