All,
I am looking to have Oscar rehomed and have contacted GSD Rescue with his details. I am in the unfortunate position where I dont have the time he needs. He is a great dog and will be a great companion for the right person.

He used to attend the training club and the numerous walks and John may be able to advise of his nature.

If you know of anyone please advise. I have been unable to figure out how to attach an image, but can email any interested people.

Regards

Ross

He is 3 1/2, a large quite dominant boy but responds well and is easily trained......pack walks were good for him.
As you can see from the photo he is very white.

All,

Just to advise we have thought more about Oscar and he aint going nowhere now.

We will refocus our efforts on him and start attending training again.

Also, does anyone know of a good dog behaviourist to give us some pointers.

Regards

Ross

Before you look for a behaviourist you need to be sure there is no physical problem underlying his behaviour.
I am sure John could be booked to do some one to one training with Oscar. He is a very good trainer and him working with Oscar and yourselves may solve your problems. A behaviourist would spend time observing Oscar at home and John could well spot the same things.
It's very difficult to find a good dog behaviourist. I have tried in the past and have not been impressed by their very expensive help.

i agree with lorna......although john's not a dog behaviorist.........he certainly knows how dogs think and can almost interpret them!.........if john has the time i am sure he would be a good first start!
