Some of you might remember that we had a few probs with Tess's prey drive. She was always dissapearing, away chasing anything that moved, and we would have a nightmare trying to get her back once she had clicked into hunt mode.
Well after a lot of effort using a high value squeaky toy we started to get control when on walks again. She is now a good wee dug who, still likes to run and follow scents when out, and still likes to chase things, but will not ignore our recall commands anymore so we dont mind so much.
And the latest measure of how far she has come is we can now let her in the garden when the chooks are out wandering.
As for Belle? Well, she'll need a bit of work yet before she's allowed out with them. _________________ Parsons Russell fanatic |
