Race Night

Hi

OK my race night is almost planned. On the night (26th October) there will be 8 races, 7 sponsored and one auction race at the end. For the 7 sponsored races I need either companies or local businesses to sponsor each race. Basically this means donate a prize for the winner of the race, this can be anything from a bottle of spirits or a meal for two etc, in return their name and company will be printed in the race program and announced on the night for their kind donation. Obviously the better the prize the more I can sell each horse within the race for. Does anyone know or work for a company that would be interested in donating a prize?

For the people who don't know how a race night works here's some info. Each race will be sponsored by a company or local business, they will donate a prize for the winning owner of each race. Before the night I will sell each horse within the race to a "owner" if your horse wins then you will win the prize donated by the sponsor. Bets can also be placed on the night i.e £3 for number 4 to win etc. For the auction race this simply means that if you don't manage to buy a horse before the night you will have a chance to bid on one for the last race.

We will also be doing a few extra games throughout the night to raise extra funds ie Stand up bingo

Tickets for the night will be £5 each and there will be a bar for all you alcoholics out there

how did you get on with GSR

are you logging on when you are on holiday?

I'm hoping John can get the new hall for me to hold it in, so it should be in Westfield Community centre.

A girl Karen called me from the GSD rescue on Monday and I gave her details of a few dogs I was interested in, She was supposed to call me back on Tuesday but so far I have heard nothing. She did my vet check etc and everything was ok. So really I am just waiting on her calling back.

Fiona holiday is good. mostly visiting family of lindsays and a lot of sitting about. but meeting my family up in niagra a week today and staying in a luxuary hotel right at the edge of the falls for the night before heading back to the airport on firday - really looking forward to that trip.
