Had to take Rudy to the vet last week as he was getting cuts on his nose, but not due to a trauma. His nose was always running and he was licking it, so I did wonder if he had an allergy.

He also had scabby pimples in his armpits.

A course of anti-histamines and antibiotics have cleared them both up. Thankfully. I scared myself silly looking up the symptoms on the net!

I would imagine that if it's ok for me to take antihistamines all the time, it's ok for him.

Me and Hektor both on the anti histamines at the moment too! We both get really bad reactions with midges and clegs. I asked the Vet and he'd said it was Ok to give to Hek, I suppose weight wise he's the same as a small adult

Had to get antibiotics for myself last week, my whole shin area was inflamed where one of the bloodsuckers had got me...I could hardly walk and there wasnt even a bite mark really. Hate those wee buggers Evil or Very Mad
