So its been a year today since I re-homed Totts Very Happy

Just got a new laptop and have an exam in a weeks time, so clearly lends itself to experimenting and making a video lol.

Love the video.
Gives me hope that Cleo might one day not be as nervous. I would love to find a companion for her maybe a bit older. It would be amazing if I could get her confident enough to play with another dog, then I would be a step closer to being able to get her a friend. What's your secret? Totts is an amazing wee dog; so clever

Thank you both Smile

No secret, all she needed was a bit of time and encouragement. The dog club has done tons for her confidence. Muffin (15 yr old rescue) has been a brilliant influence on her. She was less nervous when around Muffin and I eventually weaned her off onto doing things by herself.

John and Janis will vouch for me in that there were plenty of times I felt totally disheartened by how scared she was of me and other people. In the first few weeks I wrote her off as just not being very intelligent as I battled minds with her trying to teach her to just lie down on command. I have to pinch myself at some of the things she will now do, that Ive never been able to train any of my previous dogs, even my old collie. But again its only the last few weeks shes been confident enough to walk the full length of the hall. You ll see sometimes in class she will get randomly spooked and wont walk any further.

I love the fact she is now playing with dogs, its only been within the last few weeks shes started to play chases and not just box terriers lol. Only yesterday was her first time playing with a ball Surprised I cant believe it. Sadly i missed it as she played with my sister while I was at work but its the first time shes ever shown a proper interest in playing with toys.

I have no doubt Cleo will get there, already seeing a huge difference in her Smile
