First of all, Teddy doesn't seem to know what to do with chews, bones etc. and he is 22 months old now (- I thought that was inbuilt into a dog but maybe he is the exception.) Anyway, a lovely marrow bone was given and duly buried somewhere in the garden - weeks and weeks ago. The 4 month old bichon who comes to play with Teddy each day seized on this rotten old thing and they proceeded to tussle over it. It has to be rotten by this time and I am worried in case they have done themselves any harm with it! Is it really an OK thing for them to do this? Never having had a dog before this one I am a bit concerned, especially for the puppy (she certainly knows what to do with a bone, lol) I have, of course, heard of dogs burying bones but I kind of thought that would have been when they were done with good bits off it.
Any advice, please? |

Don't think it ll do them much harm!! When breagha was a few months younger she used to eat moss and muck!!! Yeuchh- however she liked it. She's now moved on to horse poo!!! When I see it on road I usually let slip "oh sh*# " to which she perks up and starts sniffing around to find it!!!!

That's so funny Jean - as if she thinks you're telling her there's poop about for her to nosh on I am just keeping an eye on Teddy and I have warned Lola's mummy, but so far, they seem to be perfectly fine. Thanks for replying, sets my mind at rest a bit. |
