Me and patience...naw!
Well....after much soul searching, research, arguments, deliberation wailing and gnashing of teeth, we decided not to go with the breeders we had originally looked at.
After hearing alot of stories from various different people we decided to contact a local farmer.
We just come back from a farm in Coulter, about 34 miles down the road from us. A wee farm there with about a 1000 sheep up on the hill. The owner is keeping two of the litter for her own daughters because they want to train the dogs up like their mum Daisy, so she is assured of the dogs temperament and abilities.
He is likely to be a short haired BC (both parents are shorthaired) and I am excited and nervous all at once! He was quite timid with his sisters and they picked on him a bit, but when they were out of the way he was very friendly, liked my daughter alot and settled easily with both myself and my partner.
Will be taking lots of pictures tomorrow. |

Ash, the pup is almost black...so we reckoned Ash would fit nicely. Also ties in with our personal interests of heathenry and viking history as the Ash tree both mountain ash (rowan) and Ash were highly prized! The ash tree was used to make weapons and the mountain ash was sacred to Sif etc etc etc. |
