I got these before we got ash because they double as nappy bags, I also buy all our bio degradable bags from them too. Their service is absolutely fantastic and if you get their newsletter they often have money off voucher codes.
They recycle their boxes and often you will get a re labelled box and their protective packaging can be put into the composter!

We get a supply of bags foc from North Lanarkshire Council to hand out to members.
I believe most Councils hand them out free at libraries etc............
