Hi there, my name is Carol and I have just registered with the Cumbernauld dog training forum.
I am not a member of the club, but find the topics and the dog chat interesting.

I live in a small holding in Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire and I have 7 dogs of different breeds.
The youngest dogs I have are a rescue lurcher and a short haired bored collie, both bitches now aged around 14 months. I was fostering the lurcher because she was very poorly, and nursed her for 6 months before she recovered and the little bc bitch was very trumatised, however both are a bundle of joy now and I could not possible rehome them because they are now truely members of the family. Of Course the down side is I am now not allowed to foster any more dogs.

My interest are dog agility, Dog psychology and behaviour. Dog Grooming.

Hi as you can see I am new to this.
My picture seems to be extremely large, I don't know how that happened, can anyone help me put it to normal size.
Also my little bc bitch is a border collie not a bored collie.
laughing5 think that was a typing error, I am pretty good at them. C

Smile Hello and welcome

I'm sure you'll enjoy the forum. Its a very friendly place.
John's the expert on all things technical but I THINK when you upload your picture to Photobucket there's an option to change the size. Its easy when you know how but of course I didn't!

Hi Carol,

the avatar was too big.........I uploaded it to photobucket.com, shrunk it and linked to that.

Great to have you on the forum........I know lots of people have an interest in agility because they have been nipping my ear about trying it at the club.......we have a basic flyball machine and last night I ordered a book with step by step instructions and plans to build some equipment.........so I may be busy I think Laughing

Hi Carol - someone with an interest in dog behavior - Im sure we will keep you busy with questions. I am not a techi and would love a photo of my two as my identifier but just have not a clue how to do it, though john has sent me instructions -duh! even the instructions seem too complicated.

I have two rescue German Shepherds bob and dodge and love the forum, the twice weekly walks and the training classes, the people are really nice and friendly and the dogs are fab.

Welcome.

Hi and welcome Smile

I know all about the fostering bit, we did a lot of work with the Retired Greyhound Trust and GRS a few years back and ended up with a lurcher and a whippet, which were coming for a short stay till they were rehomed and are still here.

We have 2 lurchers, a greyhound and a whippet, 2 cats, chickens ferrets and a pony (which isnt at home), imagine what I would have with a smallholding Laughing

Hurry up and build that agility equipment John Very Happy
