I always use stainless steel water and food bowls for my 3. The Great Danes have raised feeding stations. They all do sometimes go down to the bottom of the garden and drink from the pond. The water is filtered and pumped through constantly for the fish do it doesn't worry me too much.
Basil still drinks from the burn down the glen _________________ Regards,

Great Danes are not substitute children. They are much more important than that! |

My two use stainless steel food dishes and stainless steel bucket-oor wullie style as Bear won't use raised station so keep bucket levels up so he doesn't need to bend. His favorite watering hole is his paddling pool closely followed by muddy puddles, although he tends to stop mid swim for a drink |

My two always used raised stainless steel feeding stations which have the benefit of having adjustable height and being robust enough to (so far) withstand Cuthbert's teeth as he is constantly trying to lift the bowls out and take them away, usually when the water dish has water in it. Just as well the bowls are held firmly in place! Funnily enough I've noticed that when he goes to eat out of his bowls he always stands at an angle to them and Rosie did the same. Goodness knows why but as long as he's getting his food it doesn't really matter , it just looks daft! |
