Hi folks
Just thought I'd let you know I had some upsetting news today
Last month we took Poppy to the vet because she was always soaking wet on her hind legs. She was treat for a UTI and given anitbiotics...it cleared up for a while. But because we had Millie to compare her to we suspected something might not be quite right. After another trip to the vet he suspected urinary incontinence and referred us to the Vet School in Bearsden.
We took her there today for some tests and after an ultrasound they have discovered an ectopic ureter...she is going in on Monday for surgery because if left untreated it will affect the function of her kidney.
I'm still in shock The poor wee thing...I can't believe it ...I truly thought that it might just be another UTI and she would be given another course of antibiotics.
Has anyone had any experience of this?

Hey Audrey,
Sorry to hear about Poppy.
We too are attending Vet School at Bearsden, my Great Dane pup Hektor is being investigated and treated for Bone cancer at only 6 months, he's in there tonight again for his MRI tomorrow, and i could not agree more about the staff. They are fantastic, I was a weeping mess again leaving him for the 2nd time, he trotted away no problem, looking for his dinner. hoping for good news tomorrow, we'll wait and see
